A tough result to take this week, but so much to be proud of this season ❤️🖤. Our Year 8 boys fell to RAAS, meaning we narrowly missed out on the league title 🥈. Goals from Thomas L and an absolute screamer from Teddy B 🔥 (we really needed a Veo for that one!) weren’t quite enough. The progress this team has made has been unbelievable — week by week, they’ve grown in confidence, teamwork, and determination 💪⚽️. Onwards to Year 9, where they’ll be ready to go one step further! Well done, boys! 👏🔥

We were delighted to welcome humanutopia for a full day of workshops with our Year 9s last week 🙌. The session explored themes of choice, confidence, and community 🌱💭💫, and our students shone throughout — participating with enthusiasm, asking meaningful questions 💡, and showing real maturity in their reflections 👏.

On Wednesday, our Year 11 students took part in what can only be described as a truly motivational experience. Jim Roberson, an American educator who now works within the UK education system, visited to share his expertise in supporting students through the final stages of their GCSE preparation. Through an engaging and energetic session, Jim offered students honest insights into the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, while equipping them with practical strategies to make the most of the final five weeks before exams begin. His message encouraged students to stay focused, work with purpose, and believe in their ability to succeed. The session was fun, inspiring and thought-provoking, and every Year 11 student we spoke with said they took away something valuable to help them prepare for the weeks ahead. Every small step counts, and we hope this experience will stay with them as they move confidently towards their exams. 🥰

Last week, our students headed to the British Library for an inspiring exploration of the Windrush Generation and its powerful legacy. From discovering the story of the Empire Windrush in the Library’s bespoke exhibit to wandering through the iconic Treasures Gallery, students had the chance to get up close to artefacts that have shaped British history. A truly unforgettable experience for our budding historians! 🌟📖

🚦 Year 7 Take Part in ‘Split Second’ Road Safety Programme 🚦 Last week, our Year 7 students took part in Split Second, a powerful theatre-in-education experience delivered by @collingwoodlearning. The interactive performance and workshop explored real-life scenarios and the split‑second decisions that can help keep young people safe on the roads. Keeping our young people safe starts with awareness — and Year 7 rose to the challenge brilliantly. 💛 #RoadSafety #SurreyRoadSafe #SplitSecond #Year7 #SaferTravel #SurreySchools #StudentLearning #SafetyFirst

✨ British Science Week 2026 ✨ Theme: Curiosity – What’s Your Question?🧐 This week our students are diving into the questions they’ve always wondered about — the big ones, the quirky ones, the “I’ve always wanted to know…” ones. Here are just a few brilliant questions from our Year 8 cohort already! We can’t wait to see what else they come up with throughout the week! 🌍🔬
