GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

National Youth Theatre Auditions!

On Friday 27th February 2026, six of our talented Year 10 Drama students travelled to Caterham School to audition for the National Youth Theatre — one of the UK’s most prestigious training grounds for young performers. NYT has helped launch the careers of incredible actors such as Matt Smith, Helen Mirren, David Oyelowo, Rosamund Pike, Daniel Craig, and many more! 

This was an amazing opportunity for our students to experience a professional audition environment and take part in a vibrant, practical workshop led by NYT Directors.

We are immensely proud of the dedication, preparation, and passion they’ve shown throughout this process and we have our fingers crossed for a successful outcome!
