GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Celebrating Success in the UKMT Grey Kangaroo Challenge

Following their impressive performance in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge, Lenny F and Amelia S-O were invited to take part in the prestigious Grey Kangaroo follow-on round. Both students accepted the challenge and sat the one-hour paper at the end of March, tackling 25 demanding multiple-choice problem-solving questions.

We were delighted to celebrate their achievements this week with a small gathering hosted by Mr Place, Mrs Dowdie, and Mrs Joao, complete with drinks and doughnuts. During the celebration, both students were presented with certificates to mark their accomplishments - Amelia for qualification, and Lenny F, who earned a Bronze Award and was recognised as ‘Best in School’.

A huge congratulations to both students on this outstanding achievement - we are incredibly proud of their dedication and success!
