Year 7 Step Back in Time at the Tower of London
Year 7 students were transported back through centuries of British history during an exciting educational visit to the iconic Tower of London.
The trip formed part of their History curriculum, enriching classroom learning with first-hand experiences of one of the country's most famous historic landmarks. Students explored the ancient fortress, once a royal palace and prison, and walked in the footsteps of monarchs, prisoners, and even executioners.
Highlights of the day included viewing the world-famous Crown Jewels, learning about the Tower's grisly past in the White Tower, and discovering the fascinating tales of the Yeoman Warders, popularly known as Beefeaters.
The visit sparked thoughtful questions and lively discussions, which carried on back in the classroom, where students put their creativity to the test by designing and crafting their own crowns — a fitting end to a truly memorable day of learning.
