GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

    Year 11 Outcomes

    Year 11 Outcomes

As a school, we seek to ensure all of our students receive a well-rounded education which focuses as much on the individual as it does on the academic.  Outcomes and results play a key part in opening doors for our young people to the next step of their journey – be it at Reigate, East Surrey, or elsewhere and we are therefore extremely proud of the results published on the Government website this week.

One key measure the Government reports is a Progress 8* figure – this single score seeks to summarise the performance of all of our students in all of their subjects.  We were delighted that the results showed a significant leap forward when compared to last year (approximately equivalent to every student getting three grades better than they would have done the previous year) and this year our Progress 8 score put us at the top of the Tandridge schools (including Warlingham and Oxted) and Oasis.

The progress our students make each year is a testament to all their hard work but is supported and shaped by the staff at the school who work tirelessly to help them achieve their very best grades.  This wouldn’t be possible without the supportive parent and carer body too.

We continue to seek to go from strength to strength and to build on this year’s success.

*Progress 8 measures the average achievement of pupils in a broad range of qualifications taking into account their starting points.  The measure includes English (language and/or literature); maths; three further qualifications that count in the English Baccalaureate (History, Geography, Science, Spanish, Computer Science); and three further qualifications that can be GCSE qualifications (including any already listed ) or any other non-GCSE qualifications on the DfE approved list (e.g. Health & Social Care or Creative iMedia).
