GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

We were delighted to welcome ex de Stafford student, Martin Poole, a performance coach working in Formula One to talk with our students about his career as part of our Find Out Friday sessions.

Martins' role as a performance coach requires him to travel all over the world, preparing Nico Hulkenberg for each race. The presentation was captivating, and it was interesting to find out how varied Martins role is and how he got into his career. A huge thank you to Martin for taking time out to come and inspire and our students.
