The surrounding roads are clear but please exercise extreme caution when walking on the pavements and entering the school site. Students are permitted to wear footwear appropriate for the icy conditions. The car park is particularly icy so try to avoid driving in to school.

12/12/17

We are open today but to give the site team additional time to grit the worst affected areas we will be operating a late start. Students will be expected in to SAM at 9:30am. Any student arriving early may go to the school canteen.

de Stafford School is partnered with Reigate Sixth Form College, Coulsdon Sixth Form College and East Surrey College. Almost all of our students progress to one of these three colleges, where an unrivalled range of academic and vocational courses are on offer. All colleges guarantee our students a place, even though they are oversubscribed.

Reigate Sixth Form College is an ‘Outstanding’ Beacon College, which offers over 50 different A Level and BTEC courses. The College is also designated by the government as a National Teaching and Leadership College, which recognises excellence in teaching, learning and staff development.

Coulsdon Sixth Form College is in federation with Reigate Sixth Form College and has a range of around 50 courses at both Advanced and GCSE level.  90% of the College’s students study at Advanced Level and approximately 60% go onto University. The College is currently the fastest growing sixth form college in the country, following two years of 99% plus pass rates and was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2013.

East Surrey College, judged ‘Good with a series of Outstanding areas’ by Ofsted in January 2015, has outstanding specialist facilities for over 200 vocational courses from entry level to Higher Education. The College also delivers an extensive range of Apprenticeships and Traineeships and has an excellent record for progressing students into employment or higher education.

As opportunities in Higher Education become wider and more accessible and prospects of employment grow, we are delighted to be able to offer our students the solid foundations of GCSE success here at de Stafford School combined with such an extensive range of courses at Key Stage 5. Close liaison between de Stafford School and the three colleges ensures a smooth transfer of students, leading to continued high level success.
