Since the autumn term the Year 7 students have been working on their chosen science projects for the GLF fair at the Royal Holloway University of London in Egham. Projects included ‘What is Phosphorus?’, ‘Electrical Circuits’, ‘Dry Ice’, ‘The Wonder of Oobleck’ and ‘Why Popcorn is Amazing’.
Early on Monday 1 April, we headed off to the fair and spent the day showing our work to students, teachers and parents from other schools, the Royal Holloway scientists and the judges. They also heard keynote speeches from scientists on Biodiversity and How cold is the Universe?.
The students enjoyed conducting practicals and seeing the beauty of the university campus. Overall, a fantastic experience and the students were excellent ambassadors for de Stafford school.
