Another fab assembly school. Thanks to yr 9/10 for listening & helping us to create a more inclusive community. Remember "It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognise, accept and celebrate those differences" https://t.co/oBFIEaeTke

School Strategy Board (SSB)

As part of the GLF Schools multi academy trust, de Stafford School is able to benefit from the support and opportunities that are offered by the Trust.  Being part of the Trust allows us to work within a governance structure which is different from a traditional Governing Body model and from September 2017, our local governance body is now a School Strategy Board (SSB).  Our SSB meets once per half term and provides the local governance function for de Stafford which fits within the overall governance structure of GLF Schools. Further information about governance at GLF Schools can be found here.

The three core functions of governance are:

  1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
  2. Holding leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management, including well-being, of staff
  3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

The SSB continues to have parent representatives and representatives from the local community, together with our Head Teacher, Mr Garner, our School Business Manager, Miss Smith, and representatives from the Trust’s central team.  It remains important that our SSB comprises the right people with the right skills to make appropriate and informed decisions for the school, taking into account the views of students, staff, parents and the local community.

To contact the Chair of the School Strategy Board, please email Alison Etheridge at alison.etheridge@destafford.org.uk or write to her at de Stafford School, Burntwood Lane, Caterham, Surrey, CR3 5YX
