Mrs Alison Etheridge Chair of Governors
I have lived in Caterham since 1997 and have two children one is currently a student at de Stafford.  Following  a 4 year term as a Governor at a local infant school, I became a Governor at de Stafford in June 2011. I have a degree in Psychology and undertook further studies in Human Resources to gain Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD).  My career was initially in the voluntary sector, working with a housing association for older people and then a disability charity.  In 2008 I became self-employed, helping companies with a variety of HR requirements such as reorganisations, employee relations issues, and mediation.  
   
Mr Roger Easter Governor
I was elected to the Governing Body in 2013 as a Community Governor. I spent my career of more than 30 years in the financial services sector with a leading insurer firstly at branch level and then to senior level at Head Office. My experience covered Sales, Marketing and Compliance, which included the areas of training and competence.  I have been closely involved in the local community through my activities over the last 15 years with Caterham Rotary Club, which has also included working closely in many aspects of life in the School.  
   
Miss Catherine Emmott Governor
I grew up in Reigate and moved back to Oxted 12 years ago. I became a Governor at de Stafford in June 2011. I have a law degree and then qualified as a Chartered Surveyor, specialising in landlord and tenant. I have worked extensively in private practice in London and locally, in the public sector in Hertfordshire, as a facilities and property manager and for a time in Jersey. Until recently I was an Operations Director by a FTSE100 property company in London, but am now starting a new career as a Bursar of a local primary school. In my spare time I have a small dog and a large horse.  
   
Mrs Kate Forde Governor
I have one child at de Stafford and another at a local primary school and have lived in Caterham since 2004.   I have been a parent governor at de Stafford since October 2013. I have a degree in Politics, a post graduate qualification in HR Management and am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD).  I have worked in Human Resources for over 20 years specialising in employee relations and restructuring but also looking at Training and Development and Recruitment.  I have worked in the Art world and the Veterinary world and on a self employed basis.  
   
Mr Jeremy Garner Governor
I have served on the Governing Body of de Stafford School since my appointment as Head Teacher in September 2013. I completed a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education in Physical Education having graduated with a degree in Sports Science. Since qualifying as a teacher nearly 20 years ago, I have worked in three different Surrey secondary schools (Therfield, St Bede’s, de Stafford) and completed my National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in 2009. I live in Epsom with my wife and two young children.  
   
Mrs Alison Hill Governor
I have a daughter in year 11 and a son in year 7 at de Stafford School.   I have lived in the Caterham area since 2000 and became a Parent Governor at de Stafford in October 2013.  I was employed by the Metropolitan Police for 23 Years, fifteen years of which as a Human Resource Professional, specialising in recruitment and attendance management.  During this time I volunteered as a Special Constable in London for 5 years dealing with all aspect of police work.  Annually I volunteer for the RNLI, making house to house collections and raising money around the Caterham area.  In April 2014 I began a new career at Caterham School in the Admissions Department.  
   
Mr Simon Roos Governor
I have lived in the Caterham area since 2005 and have two children at de Stafford; I became a parent governor at de Stafford in 2013. My professional career so far has been in International sales working at several European companies’ leading teams to develop strategies around sales, marketing and operational excellence. I have also been working with young people in the voluntary sector since 1998 as a Church youth leader and more recently as a local Scout leader.  
   
Mrs Emma Skipper Governor
I have two children who are both students at de Stafford. I have lived in the Caterham area for most of my life and joined the governing body as a parent governor in October 2013.  I am a teacher at a local primary school and have been there almost 20 years. I specialise in teaching music, working across Key Stages 1 and 2. I also job share a Key Stage 2 class.  
   
Mrs Rowan Spurgin Governor
Having lived in Caterham most of my life, and attended schools in the town, I am very pleased to be able to give something back to the local school community. I became a Governor at de Stafford in April 2015 and have been elected as Chair of the Finance Committee.  I have two daughters, one who is a student at de Stafford and the other at St. John’s.  After gaining a degree in Psychology and Zoology, I studied to become a qualified Chartered Management Accountant.  I have worked in the retail and manufacturing sectors, the last few years within IT as a Business Analyst.  
   
Mrs Clare Wingrave Governor
I live locally in Caterham and am the principal of Oasis Academy Byron, a thriving primary school in Coulsdon.'My three children attended de Stafford and the school provided them all with very firm foundations for life and their future learning.  
   
Mr Kenny Wheeler Governor
I have lived in Caterham for 10 years and very much enjoy being part of the community. My background is in teaching, originally as a Business Studies teacher then latterly as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Senior Leader in two secondary schools. Throughout my career I have engaged in leadership development and now have the privilege of designing and delivering leadership courses to SENCOs, middle and senior leaders. My role as an Education Consultant (SEN, Inclusion and Leadership) has also seen me work with schools in Surrey and across the country to help target and support vulnerable learners with an overall aim to improve their life chances. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and running (though not at the same time!).
